The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) is delivering 17 new and upgraded venues for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and providing oversight of delivery for additional venues.

The Project

As the 100 Day Review of Games Infrastructure commenced, GIICA had 100 days to consult with the community and prepare recommendations regarding the planning, design, and delivery of new and upgraded venues. The Comms Team rapidly mobilised a team of resources to work in-house with GIICA to support a thorough and inclusive engagement process.

The team managed a comprehensive stakeholder meeting program designed to gather valuable input from various interest groups, and prepared draft and final reports summarising the findings and recommendations to the Queensland Government.

To ensure the community and key stakeholders had the opportunity to provide input into the review, we also supported the GIICA team with utilising the latest digital tools to quickly and accurately collate and analyse significant stakeholder feedback.

Following the release of the 2032 Games Delivery Plan, our team continue to provide ongoing engagement planning for the new major venues and minor venues programs, as well as GIICA’s day-to-day communication and stakeholder engagement activities, including stakeholder presentations, regular reporting and stakeholder database management.
